Character Designs- Under The Leaves
Second Semester Freshman Year Character design class assignments, Procreate.
I was tasked to create a set of five characters who live in a world of my design, and create their character designs, building them up piece by piece as I learn what they look like, and who they are. Under The Leaves was a semester-long project, featuring my characters who live in a post-apocalyptic world that aggressive, toxic-to-breathe invasive plants have overrun. I envision this story in a top-down story game format, the characters work together to find a way to stop the flora from overtaking their small village. In the meantime, Talia, our protagonist ventures to the edge of the thicket, gathering samples to use in drinks at the local pub she runs, microdosing her community in hopes of achieving immunity. As more research is done, there seems to be a coincidence in the forest's power with the time of Talia's parent's disappearance. Just a coincidence? Or a clue to stomp out these plants, or whatever controls them for good.
